“Pursuing the Perfect 10 – How High Level Sport Affects Our Relationship with God”

For the first 18 years of my life I was involved in disciplined sport. Gymnastics and Taekwon-do both demand high levels of focus, discipline and perseverance – all great lessons of life if nurtured in a Godly way. However something that goes unseen, is the emotional and mental consequenses of…

‘My yoke is easy and my burden is light’

I haven’t posted anything in ages, so here’s an update… Since Christmas I feel like I’ve hardly stopped, things have been so busy, but this week it feels like things have slowed down a bit, hence why I now have time to write something!

Wow, sorry it’s been so long since the last post!

The past 2 months have been the 2 busiest months of my life!

After the alternative Halloween parties in the half term I had conference, then as soon as I got back it was full steam ahead towards Christmas planning.

Conference was great, we went through…

God is sooooo good!

Wow! Something amazing happened at youth café today!

I know I shouldn’t, but I think in the past, in my mind I’ve limited God as to what I think He can do. Last week a girl was telling me about how she doesn’t like being at home, and doesn’t like her…

spiritualinspiration:

Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honoring the Lord with your body. When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honoring the Lord with your body. You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind and strength.”

Let this devotion be an encouragement to you to stay on track with good habits. As you honor the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and embrace the good things He has in store for you!
